Feux Follets is a literary and artistic review published annually (in the Spring) by UL-Lafayette's Modern Languages Department to promote French creative expression in Louisiana. Submissions can come from throughout the community, and the editorial process is overseen by UL graduate students in Francophone Studies.
It includes poems, short stories, non-fiction, visual art and more; note that the texts are in French, and there aren't any English translations. It does, however, provide interesting new material in French, and the texts are generally brief, which can keep it from being as overwhelming as, say, a long novel in French.
The publication started in 1991 and ran annually through 2009. It was then discontinued, but a new group of graduate students revived it in 2019, and it has returned to annual publication. You can find editions from the years 1991 through 2009 as downloadable PDFs on their website. Physical copies of the newer editions (2019 onwards) are available from the Department of Modern Languages itself, or you can download them as PDFs from their site.
